From the combined ashes of the VCORE Si and Tour F arises the VCORE SV. Used by the current WTA no.1 player Angelique Kerber, this new innovative frame allows for better ball pocketing blended with precision. The unique addition of NANOMETRIC XT carbon at 2 and 10 o’clock on the frame, increases flex adding 4% longer contact with the ball as opposed to conventional rackets. Meanwhile extra repulsion is created from new aero should technology at 5 and 7 O’clock. Continuing and improving on the technology from the Tour F, the Aero Fin technology creates a 2.9% increase in speed due to a 16% decrease in air resistance. The fins can be seen on the inside and outside of the top of the head as per the image. This is countered by the 3D Vector Shaft which improves stiffness, generating stability resulting in better power. We won’t forget to the legendary ISOMETRIC (square) head shape creates a 7% bigger sweet spot than rackets of the same head size. Playtesters were blown away with the feel, spin and shape whilst the 95 head size allows for pinpoint accuracy. Players that were not familiar with Yonex were cautious of the head size but after hitting a few balls, like the rest of the testers, they did not want to put the bat down. Yonex have created another gem here. This frame really stands out, head and shoulders (excuse the pun), from it’s competitors.
